These are the simple rules for using Dar. By texting Dar, you agree to them.
What Dar is
Dar is a companion for your deen that you text in iMessage. It sends reminders before the prayers you choose, remembers what you share with it, and talks with you about your deen. Its replies are written by AI.
What Dar is not
Not a scholar or a mufti. Dar does not issue religious rulings. For questions about what is permitted or how to practice in your situation, ask a qualified scholar or imam you trust.
Not a doctor, therapist or crisis service. If you are in danger or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 in the US, or your local emergency number.
Not perfect. Quran text is always fetched word for word from a verified source and never written by the AI, but anything else Dar says can contain mistakes. Prayer times are calculated for your city and may differ slightly from your local masjid.
Founding guests, trials and payment
Founding guests invited during our opening are free.
When Dar opens to everyone, new members get three days free, then Dar costs $4.99 a month, billed through Stripe.
You can cancel any time. You keep access until the end of the month you've paid for. We don't offer partial refunds, but if something has gone wrong, contact us and we'll make it right.
If the price ever changes, we'll text you before it affects you.
Using Dar respectfully
Please don't use Dar to harass anyone, to try to make it say harmful things, or to overload it. We may pause or end access for anyone who does.
Stopping and deleting
You can stop at any time. Text !reset to delete your data, as described in our privacy page.
The fine print
Dar is provided as is. We work hard to keep it running and accurate, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free, and we aren't liable for decisions you make based on what it says. We may update these terms; if we make a significant change, we'll update the date above.
